Able Video and Multimedia is unique in that it integrates creative and technical talent in video and film production, audio production, Event AV and live streaming and animation, all in-house. We are the only video production services provider on the Gold Coast that owns all the necessary equipment, such as 12k, 6k, 4k and HD broadcast cameras (including high frame rates up to 900 fps) and complete gaffer (lighting), grip (camera support such as electronic gyros, sliders, cranes, dollies, jibs & teleprompters) & location audio, switching and live streaming setups. We also have in-house state-of-the-art audio recording & blue/green screen studios and duplication facilities (and plenty of off-street parking) at our Minnie St, Southport premises.

Over the years Able has collected what must be one of the largest Gold Coast city image libraries, with regular helicopter-mounted aerial shoots and footage of a wide range of Gold Coast people, places and things, including early archival footage collected through various projects and our film transfer service. Able is a good corporate citizen, regularly supporting a wide range of worthy causes. Able has provided work experience for students from virtually all of the Gold Coast’s high schools, Colleges & Universities.

Peter Murtagh – Managing Director

As Managing Director of Able Video Multimedia, Peter oversees the creative team at Able. Peter is also a qualified Quality Assurance Officer.

With over 25 years experience in Gold Coast Video Production Services, multimedia, marketing and advertising industries and 40 years experience in the music business, Peter has grown Able Video and Multimedia P/L from strength to strength. He has been been involved in the production of literally hundreds of TVCs, corporate videos, documentaries and short films over the past 25 years and carries out numerous roles, including copywriting & creative direction and all aspects of production.

Jake Cook – Facilities Manager

Jake obtained a Diploma in Filmmaking in 2014 from the New York Film Academy on the Gold Coast. During that time he wrote and directed several short films.

Since leaving film school, Grant has worked for a variety of production companies as well as some incredibly reputable names and brands. Before joining Able he ran his own real estate marketing business. He brings a wealth of experience both in shooting, directing and editing.
